Job summary

Schimenti Construction Company in Rye Brook, NY is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to support successful project execution, planning, and coordination of construction activities while ensuring profitability.

You will work with clients, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams across all project phases, manage schedules and budgets, review invoices and change orders, and help maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of construction project management experience, retail construction preferred.
• Projects of high intensity with 12–20 weeks duration.
• Willingness to travel occasionally; OSHA-30 preferred.
• College degree in Construction or Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support project management teams through all phases from pre-construction to closeout.
• Monitor schedules, budgets, and profitability targets.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Review and approve invoices, changes, and RFIs; oversee change orders.
• Maintain proactive communication on project progress with stakeholders.
• Ensure punch list completion and project closeout.
