Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team and deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. You will assist customers with questions, manage transactions at the register, and help maintain stock and store cleanliness.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, replenishing shelves, and ensuring a safe, friendly environment for customers and coworkers. Part-time position with opportunities for growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help unload trucks and stock replenish.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with clear interactions.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store including bathrooms and floors; take out trash.
