Job summary

L'Auberge Lake Charles is seeking a shop associate to handle POS transactions, cash, and guest interactions. You will maintain merchandise presentation, stock levels, and accurate records while delivering friendly, confidential service in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a High School Diploma, cash-handling experience, excellent English communication, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in a cash handling position preferred.
• Must have good customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluent in English.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
• Must have basic computer skills, including operating a POS system.
• Basic math skills required.
• Flexible and energetic with ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Records all transactions in the Point-of-Sale system.
• Handles cash, checks, credit cards, gift certificates, and comps.
• Maintains neatness and cleanliness of the shop to appeal to guests.
• Unpacks, stocks, and prices all merchandise.
• Stocking and recording stock for vending machines.
• Keeps shop organized when not serving guests.
• Greet guests to encourage entry and shopping, when duties allow.
• Adheres to all shop policies and procedures and company rules.

• Properly records all transactions in the Point-of-Sale system.
• Accurately handles all cash, checks, Credit card, gift certificates, and comp transactions.
• Follows standards of neatness and cleanliness for the shop in order to maintain customer appeal.
• Unpacks, stocks, and prices all merchandise in the shop as needed.
• Assists in stocking and recording stock for all vending machines.
• Straightens, dusts, and organizes shop when there are no guests present.
• Greets guests at the entrance to the shop to encourage them to come in and look around when there are no other duties to perform.
• Responsible for knowing and adhering to all policies and procedures in the shop.
• Adheres to all regulatory, departmental, and company policies and procedures.
• Completes physical inventory each month.
• Merchandises products and new arrivals.
• Repacks merchandise as seasons change, accurately recording merchandise as it is packed.
• Maintains knowledge of property events, activities, and amenities to ensure personalized guest service.
• Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
• Maintains strict confidentiality in all company matters.
