Job summary

Peoplemark is seeking a dependable Retail Janitor to maintain cleanliness and safety in our store. You will perform daily cleaning across showroom, restrooms, offices, and exterior areas to meet health standards and present a welcoming environment.

Key tasks include floor care, surface sanitization, restroom maintenance, waste management, spill response, exterior upkeep, and inventory monitoring. Prior experience in janitorial work is preferred, with a focus on reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Proven experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial, or retail maintenance preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, dilution ratios, and PPE usage.
• Proficiency with heavy cleaning equipment (industrial vacuums, floor buffers).
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Friendly, professional demeanor with customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Floor care: sweep, mop, vacuum, and operate floor machines daily.
• Surface sanitization: clean and disinfect high-touch areas on the sales floor.
• Restroom maintenance: sanitize restrooms and restock supplies.
• Waste management: empty bins and dispose of waste safely.
• Spill response: address spills quickly, post hazard signs.
• Exterior upkeep: keep walkways and parking areas clean.
• Inventory monitoring: track cleaning supplies and report shortages.
