Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Business Development Manager, Retail Channel to own and scale the Starlink retail channel across United States and Canada. The role focuses on managing relationships with big box and specialty retailers, leading distributor partnerships, and driving commercial excellence to grow retail distribution, activations, and sell-through at scale.

The ideal candidate has proven retail channel and business development experience, analytical rigor, and execution discipline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
• Experience in retail channel management, partnerships, and growth initiatives.
• Strong analytical, forecasting, data fluency, and reporting for leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day communications with big box and specialty retailers and align on assortment, pricing, promotions, and performance.
• Lead distributor relationships, plan accounts, manage performance, and coordinate logistics and GTM execution.
• Assist with inventory allocation to optimize availability and minimize stockouts.
• Drive promotions development and execution with marketing, pricing, and partners.
• Support quarterly/annual forecasting, build bottom-up demand, and identify risks and opportunities.
• Streamline data processes and reporting to inform channel strategy and growth investments.
• Lead store expansion, openings, and in-store merchandising and activation.
• Oversee Starlink activations of kits sold through retail, maximizing activation rates and customer success.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, finance, supply chain, and legal for handoffs from opportunity to launch.
• Report progress to Starlink leadership with insights, risks, and recommendations.
• Drive process improvements to increase throughput, clarity, and accountability.
