Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Business Development Manager for the Retail Channel to scale Starlink retail distribution across the U.S. and Canada. You will manage relationships with major retailers, lead distributor partnerships, and drive go-to-market execution, forecasting, and promotions.

You will collaborate with product, marketing, operations, finance, and legal to ensure timely launches and measurable growth across the retail channel. Expect travel and high-growth scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• 5+ years in business development, channel management, retail sales, account management, or complex partnerships.
• 3+ years managing retail or distribution channels with forecasting, inventory, promotions, and performance tracking.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day communication with big box and specialty retailers as primary contact.
• Lead distributor relationships, including planning, performance management, and logistics coordination.
• Assist with inventory allocation to optimize product availability and minimize stockouts.
• Drive promotions development with marketing, pricing, and partners to accelerate activations and sell-through.
• Support quarterly and annual forecasting, build bottom-up demand forecasts, track performance against plan.
• Streamline data processes and reporting to inform channel strategy and investments.
• Lead store expansion and optimization, support new openings, drive in-store merchandising and activation.
• Lead Starlink service activations of new kits sold through retail; maximize activation rates and customer success.
• Collaborate with product, marketing, engineering, finance, supply chain, and legal for timely execution and clean handoffs.
• Report progress to Starlink leadership, presenting insights, risks, and recommendations.
• Drive continuous improvement of team processes, tools, and rhythms.
