Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland & East Central Ohio in University Heights, OH is seeking a Cashier/Sales Floor Associate to be the friendly face of the store, handle customer transactions, keep shelves stocked, and build lasting relationships with customers and donors.

You will itemize purchases on POS, manage cash, assist with merchandising, training, and keeping the store clean and safe, always aiming for 100% donor and customer satisfaction while embracing Goodwill's guiding

Qualifications

• Strong math skills for transactions and inventory.
• Experience with computers is preferred to operate POS systems.
• Previous retail experience is preferred and helpful.
• Ability to identify clothing colors and shades.

Responsibilities

• Process transactions accurately using the POS system and handle cash.
• Keep the store stocked and organized, merchandising racks and displays.
• Assist in training new personnel and support store leadership.
• Maintain a clean, safe store environment and address safety concerns.
• Provide friendly customer service and resolve issues per policy.

About the Job
making a meaningful impact in University Heights, Ohio! Be the friendly face of Goodwill. As a Cashier/Sales Floor Associate, you'll handle customer transactions, keep the store stocked, and build lasting relationships with customers and donors.

Responsibilities

• Ensures 100% donor and customer satisfaction.
• Itemizes purchases on the point-of-sale (POS) system, handles cash and makes change, and implements agency programs, i.e., Round Up, Loyalty, etc.
• Utilizes POS software to input starting and ending cash amounts and maintain accurate customer records.
• Handles customer disputes, makes exchanges according to policy, and assists customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Assists in stock rotation, merchandising racks, shelves, and other displays in a presentable manner.
• Assists store team leadership in the training of new personnel.
• Assists in maintaining a clean store, such as cleaning shelves, dusting, vacuuming floors, and cleaning windows and mirrors.
• Assists with floor running, apparel rotation, and cleaning dressing rooms as needed.
• Follows all agency safety policies and guidelines. Actively participates with supervisor and team members to address identified safety concerns.
• Embodies DGR (Donated Goods Retail) MODE Guiding Principles.
• Ends every transaction with "You changed a life today, Thank you!"
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
