Job summary

Goodwill Industries Of Gr. Cleveland & East Central Ohio – Perry store is hiring a part-time Cashier/Sales Floor Associate focused on delivering friendly customer service, processing transactions at the POS, and keeping the sales floor organized.

You will assist donors and shoppers, promote programs like Round Up and Good Points, stock merchandise, and help train new team members while following store policies and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic math skills and comfort handling cash.
• Prior retail experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to identify quality, color tones, and merchandise categories.
• Experience with POS systems and basic computer skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer and donor service at every interaction.
• Operate the POS system, handle transactions, and maintain accurate cash records.
• Support programs such as Round Up and Good Points.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise sales floor inventory.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment.
• Assist with training new team members.
• Follow all agency policies, safety, and security procedures.
• End every transaction with a positive message: "You changed a life today-thank you!"
