Job summary

AAA Club Alliance is hiring a full-time Retail Cashier in Roanoke, VA. You will handle payments, greet customers, and help grow AAA memberships while upholding service standards in a fast-paced retail setting.

The role includes processing transactions, reconciling daily activity, and supporting related services such as passport photos and driver permits. A high school diploma is required, with Notary readiness a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous sales and customer service experience, especially cash handling.
• Strong written and oral communication for engaging customers.
• Proficiency with multiple websites and programs for multitasking.
• Notary Public designation or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Satisfactory pre-employment screening as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Handle payments for all store transactions accurately.
• Reconcile daily transactions and prepare bank deposits.
• Greet and assist customers, addressing their needs promptly.
• Up-sell and cross-sell AAA products (memberships, cards, insurance).
• Process passport photos and issue driving permits as required.
• Provide backup support in Tag and Title and IDEMIA services when needed.
