Job summary

MERS Missouri Goodwill Industries is seeking a energetic Retail Cashier for the Cape Girardeau Store - Silver Spring team. The role pays $15.50 per hour with a monthly bonus of up to $250 and supports our mission to change lives through work.

No degree is required; the ideal candidate communicates well, stays organized, and handles basic math. Flexible schedules and benefits are available for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• No degree is required. High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• The ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, and management.
• Must be organized and capable of interacting with a diverse work population.
• Necessary math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist on the sales floor, answering the phone professionally.
• Operates the store cash register: cash handling, credit card transactions, and returns.
• Stocking, rotating, and maintaining store cleanliness and order.
• Request assistance from managers for returns, exchanges, and customer complaints.
• Maintain professional appearance and uphold dress code.
• Safeguard assets and report any incidents of theft or loss.
