Job summary

MERS Missouri Goodwill is hiring a Retail Cashier for the Eureka store in Missouri. You will greet customers, assist on the sales floor and at the register, and keep the store clean and organized.

The role emphasizes friendly service, accuracy in transactions, and teamwork. The position offers hourly pay of $15.50 with a monthly bonus up to $250, full-time hours, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plans, PTO and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• No degree is required. High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• The ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, and management.
• Must be organized and capable of interacting with a diverse work population.
• Necessary math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers as they enter the store and answer the phone with a professional greeting.
• Operate the cash register: handle cash and credit card transactions, process discounts and returns, balance register.
• Stock, rotate, and keep the store area clean and orderly.
• Request assistance from managers for returns, exchanges, and customer complaints.
• Maintain store cleanliness by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and polishing surfaces.
• Build positive working relationships and collaborate with team members and leadership.
• Follow safe work practices and stay aware of hazards.
• Keep aisles clear of obstructions and maintain hazard-free walkways.
• Maintain a professional appearance per dress code.
• Protect agency assets from harm, reporting theft or unauthorized possession.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Monthly Bonus up to $250.00
