Job summary

MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is seeking an energetic Retail Cashier for our Blue Springs store. The role supports customers on the sales floor, greets customers, answers calls, and processes transactions at the cash register with accuracy and courtesy.

The position is hourly full-time at $15.50 per hour, with a monthly bonus potential up to $250, plus comprehensive benefits including medical, dental and vision, PTO accrual, holidays, and retirement plans. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• No degree required; High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, and management.
• Must be organized and able to interact with a diverse work population.
• Mathematical skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and acknowledge them as they enter the store; assist on sales floor and answer phones professionally.
• Operate store cash register; handle cash, credit card transactions, returns, and balancing.
• Stock and maintain cleanliness of the store area.
• Request manager assistance for returns, exchanges, and complaints.
• Maintain store cleanliness and professional appearance; uphold safety standards.
