Airgas in Tigard, OR is hiring an Assistant Branch Manager to support daily store operations, drive sales growth, and manage budgeting and inventory. You will help supervise staff, ensure safety, and coordinate deliveries with drivers, while working with the Branch Manager and local plant to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in industrial retail, inside sales, customer service or inventory control, or Airgas trainee program.
• High school degree or equivalent preferred, with 1–3 years related experience or training.
• One year of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Basic knowledge of welding, safety, gases and hardgoods supplies recommended.
• SAP or similar software experience.
• Intermediate skills using Google Platform environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Branch Manager in daily store operations, profitability, and safety.
• Lead scheduling and performance management for retail staff.
• Recruit, mentor and develop team to reach regional goals.
• Ensure safe work environment and compliance with safety rules.
• Coordinate deliveries and route planning with drivers.
• Collaborate with Branch Manager and plant on delivery efficiency.
• Support marketing plans and sales promotions with teams and vendors.
• Assist with merchandising, order accuracy, and customer deliveries.
• Oversee inventory, daily counts, showroom and warehouse upkeep.
• Monitor SAP and POs, handle daily cash reconciliation.
