Airgas USA, LLC in Tigard, OR is hiring an Assistant Branch Manager to oversee day-to-day retail operations, drive sales growth, and manage branch systems. You will work with the Branch Manager and Plant partners to optimize deliveries, inventory, and customer service while guiding a small team and ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Prefer 1–3 years in industrial retail, inside sales, customer service or inventory control.
• High school diploma or equivalent; supervisory experience a plus.
• Basic knowledge of welding, safety, gases and hardgood supplies recommended.
• SAP or similar software experience; strong computer skills in Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support two or more employees in daily retail store operations, including compliance, sales, warehousing and distribution.
• Recruit, support, and mentor regional team to reach goals.
• Maintain safe work environment by following safety rules and procedures.
• Coordinate deliveries with drivers and align schedules with customer needs.
• Collaborate with Branch Manager and Plant to ensure efficient deliveries and customer satisfaction.
• Support marketing plans and sales promotions with Merchandising and displays.
• Assist with inventory control, cycle counts and showroom/warehouse upkeep.
• Monitor SAP reports (open orders, deliveries, billing, POs) and assist with cash reconciliation.
