Job summary

Fifth Third Bank is rolling out a Retail Personal Banker II development track in the U.S. This program includes a 9-week onboarding with rotations in Operations and Sales & Service, followed by a certification enabling progression within the Retail Personal Banker family.

The role emphasizes sales, deposits, loans, and relationship-building through consultative processes, with staffing that supports customer needs and cross-selling.

Qualifications

• College degree or work experience providing transferrable skills.
• Experience in the financial industry preferred.
• Ability to develop comfort with sales activities to acquire new consumer household and small business customers and/or cross-sell to established customers.
• Ability to analyze credit and financial information.
• Professional appearance and verbal/written communication.
• S.A.F.E. Act registration at time of employment through the NMLS.

Responsibilities

• Use consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to build customer profiles and identify financial needs.
• Maintain knowledge of Retail products and recommend solutions using the value proposition.
• Proactively reach out to customers and set appointments for financial reviews.
• Cross-sell to existing customers and engage in outside sales activities.
• Refer customers to Business Partners for holistic financial solutions.
• Meet/exceed customer experience and production goals and drive revenue growth.
• Provide guidance to CSRs on sales and referral processes.
• Promote customer satisfaction with professionalism.
• Answer customer questions and own customer issues.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow policies and procedures.
