Job summary

Goodwill of North Georgia is hiring to support our mission of helping local job seekers through donation-driven retail centers. The role focuses on thoroughly examining donated goods, processing items efficiently, and maintaining a fast-paced, safe work environment for our stores.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, strong English communication, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must have good oral and written communication skills in English.
• Detail oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and sound judgement.
• Must be 18 or older to operate a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and deliver a positive brand experience.
• Maintain professional, patient, and people-first attitude with guests.
• Transition products to the sales floor with care and urgency.
• Execute and maintain visual merchandising strategies.
• Recommend/upsell merchandise and round up during transactions.
• Handle point-of-sale transactions accurately with guests.
• Identify problems and seek management support when needed.
• Communicate effectively with management, peers and guests.
• Promote teamwork and cooperate with peers.
• Follow training materials, e-learning, and procedures.
• Keep work areas clean and organized at all times.
• Adhere to safety and security practices and report hazards.
• Attend required trainings and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
