Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of work-related experience in stocking, logistics and/or retail.
• Experience operating a cash register and credit card machine.
• Knowledge of how to prepare bank deposits.
• Understanding of safety in loading/unloading merchandise.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and use a ladder as needed.

• Direct volunteers to appropriate distribution areas to ensure safe storage and minimal damage of donations and merchandise placement on the sales floor.
• Procure, store and stock all items purchased for store.
• Sort, categorize, price and display all donations for sale floor.
• Maintain files, receipts, daily cash register documentation.
• Prepare weekly cash register documentation and receipts for Parish Bookkeeper.
• Close/Open the store and balance daily register/card terminals, prepare daily deposit.
• Other duties as assigned.

Overview

Proactively assist in the fulfillment of the mission of the Thrift Store through the effective and timely support of customers, donors, and volunteers. Responsible to maintain a clean, safe, and secure environment in the store.

Job Responsibilities
