Job summary

J.Crew in New York is seeking an Associate Manager to join the leadership team. You will drive profitability by fostering genuine customer connections, brand loyalty, and community engagement while coaching the team to perform at the highest level.

You’ll manage a designated division (visual merchandising, operations, HR, service & selling), support recruiting and training, and collaborate with the Store Director to exceed goals and deliver best-in-class service.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-time retail management experience with a similar scope.
• Passionately support brand, customers, and teams.
• Stay up to date with fashion trends and industry developments.
• Flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Store Director to act as a shared business owner while maximizing profitability.
• Own your designated division of responsibility (Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, Service & Selling, etc.).
• Manage store operations, systems, and technology while ensuring accountability.
• Support Store Director with recruiting, training and development efforts.
• Partner with Store Director and management team to curate a collaborative working environment for all associates.
• Ensure the team is always on track to exceed goals and provide best-in-class customer service.
• Come up with innovative ways to engage the community and build loyalty through events.
• Can step into a variety of roles on the sales floor, if needed.
