Job summary

The TJ Maxx store in Saint Charles, IL is hiring for a customer-focused team member. You will deliver a high-quality customer experience, handle transactions, and support store operations throughout the shift. You’ll contribute to a positive culture while following company standards for merchandising and safety.

Flexibility, strong communication, and multitasking are essential. Prior retail experience is preferred, with opportunities for development within a Fortune 100 off-price retailer.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Capable of multi-tasking.
• Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
• Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Retail customer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Models established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Supports and embodies a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Rings customer purchases/returns and counts change back to customer per procedures.
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintains merchandising, processes and standards on the sales floor.
• Prepares merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures.
• Participates in store recovery and maintains store cleanliness.
• Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adheres to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Supports shrink reduction goals and safety awareness.
• Other duties as assigned.
