Job summary

Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana in Indianapolis is seeking a part-time Retail Associate to support store operations, cashier duties, donation processing, and eCommerce activities as needed.

You will work with the store management team to maintain a clean sales floor, assist customers, and learn roles such as Cashier, Textiles or Wares Producer, Donation Door Attendant, and Rack Runner, with training provided.

Qualifications

• No degree required; capability and willingness to learn and contribute.
• Customer-focused with ability to service internal and external customers effectively.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration across store roles and teams.
• Attention to detail and safety consciousness in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Good time management to balance cashier, stock, and donation tasks.
• Able to communicate clearly with customers and teammates.
• Ability to use basic software and Internet tools for eCommerce and tracking tasks.

Responsibilities

• Rings up customer orders and maintains a balanced cash drawer.
• Provides information about Goodwill programs and directs complex questions to staff.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and backroom.
• Supports duties as Cashier, Textiles/Wares Producer, Donation Door Attendant, eCommerce Producer, e-Books Producer, and Rack/Cart Runner.
