Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Mid-Michigan in Holly, MI is seeking motivated individuals for Full-Time Retail Associate positions at our Holly store located at 15205 Holly Rd. Starting pay is $15.00 per hour with a 20% in-store discount and bonus potential.

Career advancement opportunities are available. Responsibilities include maximizing store sales, providing excellent customer and donor service, operating the cash register, processing donations, pricing and displaying merchandise, and keeping areas

Qualifications

• Must be able to work flexible shifts.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds with or without help.
• Standing for six to eight hours per day.
• Provide excellent customer service with a smile.
• Reliable transportation to report to work on time.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maximizing store sales and profitability.
• Provide prompt and courteous customer and donor service.
• Operate cash register and support sales duties as directed.
• Assist with donation processing, pricing, and display of merchandise.
• Maintain clean and organized sales floor and back areas.
• Ensure safety and color-coding standards for product placement.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Assist in maximizing store sales and help increase the profit of Goodwill.
• Provide prompt and courteous customer/donor service.
• To achieve expectations for task assigned:
  • Cashier: Accurately operate cash register and conduct sales-related functionsas directed and according to policy, procedure and job standards; maintain cash register variance to Goodwill's acceptable margin of error rate; run 3 racks per hour. Run 5 racks per hour if not on register.
  • Processor: Receive, process, price, and display merchandise as directedand according to policy, procedure and job standards; achieve production standard of 85-100 pieces per hour. Adhere to mandatory use of agency issued work gloves while sorting product.
  • Rack Runner: Run 5 racks per hour, getting product into proper place and color.
  • Retail Donation Attendant: Greet donors, assist with donations safely and professionally. Maintain accurate donation and bill of lading records, Keep donation area organized, Assist with truck loading/unloading. Adhere to mandatory use of agency issued work gloves.
  • Retail Custodian: Maintain cleanliness of sales floor, restroomsand breakroom. Empty trash, clean fixtures and shelving. Keep exterior areas clear of debris. Adhere to mandatory use of agency issued work gloves when handling chemicals.
  • ProvideEXCELLENT customer service with a SMILE!
