Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Mid-Michigan is seeking motivated individuals for Part-Time and Full-Time Retail Associate positions at our Burton Store, MI. The Burton location offers a starting wage of $15.00 per hour plus a 20% employee discount and potential bonuses.

Responsibilities include assisting customers and donors, operating the cash register, processing donations, pricing and displaying merchandise, and maintaining a clean store environment while delivering excellent service with a smile.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work flexible shifts.
• Ability to lift and carry 35 pounds with/without help.
• Ability to stand for 6–8 hours and perform light janitorial tasks as needed.
• Reliable transportation to report to work on time.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maximizing store sales and profitability.
• Provide prompt and courteous customer and donor service.
• Handle cashier duties including operating the cash register and related tasks.
• Assist with donation processing, pricing and display of merchandise.
• Maintain cleanliness and order of the sales floor and backroom areas.

Goodwill Industries of Mid-Michigan is looking for motivated, team-building individuals for Part-Time and Full-Time Retail Associate Positions at our Burton Store located at 4095 E Court St (across from the Courtland Center Mall), in Burton, MI.

$15.00 an hour plus 20% discount on in-store purchases and Bonus Potential!!

Essential duties and responsibilities

• Assist in maximizing store sales and help increase the profit of Goodwill
• Provide prompt and courteous customer/donor service
• To achieve expectations for task assigned:
  • Cashier: Accurately operate cash register and conduct sales-related functions as directed and according to policy, procedure and job standards; maintain cash register variance to Goodwill's acceptable margin of error rate; run 3 racks per hour. Run 5 racks per hour if not on register
  • Processor: Receive, process, price, and display merchandise as directed and according to policy, procedure and job standards; achieve production standard of 85-100 pieces per hour. Adhere to mandatory use of agency issued work gloves while sorting product
  • Rack Runner: Run 5 racks per hour, getting product into proper place and color
  • Retail Donation Attendant: Greet donors, assist with donations safely and professionally. Maintain accurate donation and bill of lading records, Keep donation area organized, Assist with truck loading/unloading. Adhere to mandatory use of agency issued work gloves
  • Retail Custodian: Maintain cleanliness of sales floor, restrooms and breakroom. Empty trash, clean fixtures and shelving. Keep exterior areas clear of debris. Adhere to mandatory use of agency issued work gloves when handling chemicals
  • Provide EXCELLENT customer service with a SMILE!
