Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. Under the direction of the Store Manager, you will supervise staff, manage merchandise presentation, complete paperwork, and assist with deposits while protecting assets.

The role involves customer service leadership, scheduling and training, planograms, inventory accuracy and cash control, with occasional travel to other stores as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year retail experience and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds and frequent walking.

Responsabilités

• Provide superior customer service leadership; operate cash register and scanner to itemize purchases.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees and training, safety meetings, and policy adherence.
• Manage merchandise through receiving, stocking, planograms, and displays.
• Support inventory accuracy by controlling damages, markdowns, scans, and paperwork.
• Assist in deposits and cash control procedures; handle refunds/overrides and register tills.
• Assist with store management in the Store Manager's absence.
