Dollar General Corporation is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. Under the Store Manager, you’ll supervise staff, manage merchandising, open/close duties, and assist with deposits while protecting assets.

You’ll lead customer service, train employees, handle cashiering and inventory tasks, follow safety and cash-control procedures, and step in during the Store Manager’s absence to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of retail experience; 6 months supervisory preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet customers and operate cash register.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees, training, safety meetings and policy compliance.
• Follow processes to manage merchandise: receiving, stocking, restocking and displays.
• Assist in maintaining inventory; manage damages, markdowns, scanning and paperwork.
• Assist with planograms; ensure merchandise is presented per standards.
• Maintain cash control: refunds, overrides, tills and bank deposits.
• Assist in Store Manager absence when needed.
