Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. Under the Store Manager, you will supervise employees, manage merchandise, complete paperwork, and prepare deposits to maximize profitability and protect company assets.

Responsibilities include leading cashiers, stocking, scheduling, training, safety, planograms, and deposits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• 1 year of experience in a retail environment and 6 months supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet customers and operate the cash register.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling, training, safety meetings, and policy adherence.
• Manage merchandise: receiving, stocking, restocking, and display.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and control damages, markdowns, and deposits.
• Implement and maintain planograms and merchandise presentation as directed.
• Ensure financial integrity through cashier accountability and cash handling procedures; authorize refunds and deposits; count tills.
