Dollar General Corporation is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. Working under the Store Manager, you will supervise staff, manage merchandise presentation, and handle deposits while protecting company assets.

You will perform stocking, cashiering, and other duties to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction. This role requires leadership, attention to detail, and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Experience in retail or customer service environments.
• Ability to supervise and train employees as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers, and operate cash register and scanner to itemize the customer's purchase.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees, providing training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Follow processes to manage merchandise including receiving, stocking, restocking, and displays.
• Maintain accurate inventory by controlling damages, markdowns, scanning, paperwork, and facility controls.
• Assist in planogram implementation and maintaining presentation per Store Manager directions.
• Ensure store financial integrity through cashier accountability, deposits, and cash control procedures.
• Assist with store management in the Store Manager's absence.
