Job summary

Dollar Tree in Tuscaloosa, AL is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will work with the Store Manager to supervise associates, ensure smooth daily functions, and uphold company standards.

You will maintain displays, manage inventory, and ensure cleanliness and safety across the store while delivering friendly service and leading by example. This role is essential to day-to-day success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and store communications related to activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store areas and stockroom per standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff compliance.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms and floors; take out trash and keep areas neat.
• Other duties as assigned.
