Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Tuskegee, AL is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with opening/closing, merchandising, and payroll-related tasks while maintaining store standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service, organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and store communications related to activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering, processing damaged goods, record keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked store and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies; supervise and develop store associates.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and friendly environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness and restock as needed; other duties as assigned.
