Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, organizing merchandise, keeping the floor well-stocked, and supporting the Store Manager in training staff.

You will ensure a positive customer experience, maintain cleanliness and safety, and help with payroll and scheduling tasks. This role is on-site at our Hartsville location with opportunities to lead a team and drive

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives is required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Organize, transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits/receipts), and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure associates follow procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal
• Other duties as assigned
