Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Homewood, AL to support daily store operations, drive customer service, and develop the team. You will assist with open/close routines, organize merchandise, and ensure store standards across floors and stockrooms.

You will work closely with the Store Manager to train associates, maintain a safe, welcoming environment, and uphold company policies while delivering a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail or similar environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Provide positive, approachable customer service and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize merchandise and maintain seasonal areas across the store.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and support store operations and communications.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked shelves and organized stockroom.
• Assist in payroll, scheduling, and cash handling duties; support loss prevention.
• Keep store assets secure and ensure safety policies are followed.
• Support Store Manager in training and developing store associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
