Job summary

Dollar Tree in Harvest, Alabama is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day functions, help customers, and ensure merchandise flow from delivery to floor while maintaining seasonal displays.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, enforcing directives, loss prevention, payroll and scheduling, and educating Store Associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, walking, etc.).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits.
• Maintain a neat, stocked, and secure store environment.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe environment with professional interactions.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, bathrooms, floors, and waste management.
• Other duties as assigned.
