J.Crew is seeking an Assistant Manager to help steer profitability through strong customer connections, brand loyalty, and active team coaching. You will support leadership in delivering exceptional service and align with strategies for smooth operations across the store.

You will manage a division, supervise store systems, and participate in recruiting and training. Flexibility for varied shifts and a focus on community engagement are required.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years retail management experience with a similar scope.
• Passionately support our brand, customers, and teams.
• Stay up to date with current fashion trends and industry developments.
• Embrace teamwork, flexibility, and courtesy while executing tasks.
• Innovate and champion new ideas while navigating uncertainty, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
• Scheduling flexibility, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must bend, reach, stretch for product and lift/move at least 40 pounds (18 kilos).

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Director & Associate Store Manager to impact business results and profitability.
• Own your designated division of responsibility (Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, Service & Selling).
• Manage store operations, systems, and technology with accountability.
• Assist Store Director & Associate Store Manager with recruiting, training and development.
• Partner with Store Director to create a collaborative environment for all associates.
• Ensure the team exceeds goals and delivers best-in-class customer service.
• Lead fit sessions to boost product knowledge and customer connection.
• Develop innovative engagement and loyalty strategies with the community.
