Goodwill Industries of Michiana is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced retail store. You will supervise staff, drive sales, manage inventory, and deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining a welcoming environment.

Reporting to the Store Manager, you will lead recruitment, training, and team development, address performance issues, and help safeguard store assets.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license for travel to different job sites.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with staff, customers, and leadership.
• Experience fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to resolve concerns and ensure satisfaction.
• Proven supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and hold team members accountable.

Responsabilités

• Lead recruitment, hiring, and training efforts to build a skilled, diverse, and motivated team.
• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day store operations, including sales floor activities, merchandising, inventory control, and customer service.
• Address performance or conduct issues through appropriate disciplinary actions to uphold company standards.
• Identify and respond to potential security concerns, including internal theft and shoplifting.
• Keep the Store Manager informed about operational updates, team performance, and any store-related challenges.
