Goodwill of Greater Washington is seeking a retail leader to drive store operations and deliver exceptional service while supporting community initiatives. You will oversee daily operations, coach staff, and uphold policy standards in a dynamic, community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 1–3 years management experience in retail or similar service environment.
• Basic math and computer skills; ability to create spreadsheets and understand POS systems.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Flexible days/hours to meet seven-day operation.
• Personal vehicle to transport store receipts to the bank.

Responsibilities

• Assists the store manager with the overall operation of the business unit.
• Develops, coaches and trains direct reports.
• Fosters an atmosphere of ongoing exceptional customer service for associates, donors, shoppers, and community partners.
• Makes recommendations for hiring and evaluating associates on the team.
• Assists the store manager in the daily administrative/clerical functions of store operations.
• Provides exceptional customer service to customers, including resolving concerns.
• Fulfills duties of store personnel when needed.
• Models, monitors and enforces compliance with company policies and standards.
• Monitors sales transactions and ensures proper sales procedures are followed.
• Maintains the general appearance of the store according to agency standards.
• Assists in enforcing store safety and security procedures.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
