Job summary

Citi Trends is seeking a Store Manager in Chicago to lead all aspects of store performance, people leadership, and operations. You will oversee daily store activities, drive sales, manage payroll and inventory, and maintain a high standard of customer experience while coaching a diverse team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Store Manager or equivalent retail leadership role.
• 5–7 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.

• Adaptability in a Fast-Paced Retail Environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily store operations to meet sales goals and customer experience standards.
• Monitor sales performance and take action to drive results.
• Maintain payroll control, shrink reduction, and operating expenses.
• Ensure inventory controls and shrink prevention are followed.
• Uphold CITITRENDS policies, procedures, and standards.
• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, coach, and counsel associates per policy.
• Direct and supervise associates in sales, inventory, cash handling, and service.
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels to support performance.
• Provide coaching and performance management to the store team.
