Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Macon, GA to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities and help maintain a well-organized store.

You will supervise associates, participate in opening and closing procedures, manage merchandise flow, and ensure safety and policy adherence. Strong communication and a customer-first attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; reading and interpreting directives required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, walking, bending, etc.).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Support Store Manager with training and development of Store Associates.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure all store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Create a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and associates.
