Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Macon, GA. You will support the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team, focusing on merchandising and processing freight to ensure a great in-store experience for customers and communities.

Ideal candidates have retail and management experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs while standing and walking for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform walking, standing, and repetitive lifting.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives and communication related to store activities.
• Keep store clean and presentable, including bathrooms and floors.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Assist Store Manager with: process receipts/returns of freight, manage freight flow, stock merchandise, ensure sales-floor effectiveness, and implement monthly Sales Planners.
