Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Baxley, GA, seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily operations and deliver outstanding customer service. You will assist with merchandise flow, schedule staff, and support store leadership in ensuring a safe, welcoming shopping environment for all customers and associates.

Responsibilities include opening/closing, processing directives, maintaining displays, and upholding company standards. Part-time role with opportunities for growth within a busy retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for storefronts.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restocked, and presentable; manage bathrooms, floors, and waste.
• Other duties as assigned.
