Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Turlock, CA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will help manage day-to-day activities and ensure a clean, well-organized sales floor and stockroom.

In this role you will assist with opening and closing procedures, merchandise flow, scheduling, and loss prevention. You will coach Store Associates, uphold safety standards, and maintain a positive, respectful environment for customers and team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling; loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom to company standards.
• Protect store assets, including store cash; adhere to safety policies.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and team members.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms and floors; take out trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
