Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Somersworth, NH is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, deliver outstanding customer service, and develop the team. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize, transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain store fixtures and displays for promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies, safety guidelines, and procedures by all associates.
• Assist the Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe environment with professional customer interactions.
• Ensure the store is clean and presentable, including bathrooms and common areas.
