Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Exeter, NH to join the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering positive experiences for the communities we serve. The role emphasizes merchandising, processing freight, and maintaining store standards.

You will assist with daily store functions, open/close procedures, asset protection, safety adherence, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked environment while collaborating with leadership to drive sales and customer

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain store cleanliness and presentable conditions.
• Provide a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Assist Store Manager with additional duties as assigned.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow and stock needs per productivity standards.
• Ensure sales floor is sales-effective and merchandising is maintained.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
