Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear in Oxford, MS is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations, customer service, merchandising, restocking and scheduling. You should know the store’s product areas and uphold company policies.

In the absence of the Store Manager you will assume supervisory responsibilities, guide staff, monitor inventory and sales trends, and ensure outstanding service during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail environment preferred, especially footwear/athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and reach overall goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling assets and store operations.
• Consult with Store Manager on action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Lead in the Store Manager’s absence and during peak periods.
• Assist in personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers across departments.
