Job summary

Hibbett Biloxi I City Gear seeks an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations, sales, inventory, merchandising and customer service while upholding company policies and procedures. The position is based in Biloxi, MS and requires knowledge of product areas and exceptional service.

You will supervise in the Store Manager's absence, help recruit and train staff, plan scheduling, review inventory and sales trends, and lead by example to achieve store goals.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling store assets.
• Plan and execute action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering and scheduling.
• Lead in the Store Manager's absence and supervise staff.
• Assist in recruiting, training and evaluating employees.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers across departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics and expenses for profitability.
• Direct staff to meet department responsibilities and standards.
• Report inventory movement and customer trends to the Store Manager.
• Ensure high-quality customer service per manuals.
• Perform general administrative duties and support Store Manager responsibilities.
• Deliver extraordinary customer service and promote services/merchandise.
