Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear in Corinth, Mississippi seeks an Assistant Manager to support Store Manager in daily operations and customer service excellence. You will help with merchandise presentation, restocking, scheduling, and staff guidance, ensuring a smooth, profitable store experience.

The role requires knowledge of the sales floor, strong communication, and the ability to act as the store leader in the manager's absence. Prior retail leadership experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably footwear/apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Experience helping lead a team and achieve store goals.
• Self-starter with initiative to handle important tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling store assets and operations.
• Work with Store Manager to plan selling, restocking, merchandising and scheduling.
• Serve as acting store leader in Store Manager's absence.
• Assist in recruiting, training, and evaluating personnel.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
• Ensure inventory, sales, and expenses support profitability.
• Direct staff to meet department duties and standards.
• Maintain customer service quality per company policies.
