Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will help supervise daily activities, train associates, and ensure a safe, friendly shopping environment.

You will be responsible for merchandising, inventory, opening/closing, payroll and scheduling, and applying corporate directives. This role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail setting in Bellefontaine, OH.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain store fixtures and displays and ensure promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll and scheduling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train and develop Store Associates.
