Job summary

Qualifications

• Proven ability to sell product and manage a retail department.
• Proven ability to drive results, excel in customer service and exercise sound decision making.
• Ability to comprehend basic instructions, interpret documents and apply abstract principles to tasks.

• Stay alert and productive during work hours.

Responsibilities

• Support Cavender’s culture and drive mission, vision, and values.
• Maintain active role in personal selling and meet sales per hour goals.
• Train all associate positions and act as Manager on Duty as assigned.
• Manage day-to-day store operations and supervise associates to deliver Best of the WEST customer service.
• Open and close store as directed; address customer complaints; handle returns and exchanges.
• Increase sales, maintain profit, and reduce expenses using key metrics.
• Lead training on sales techniques and product knowledge; ensure adherence to company expectations.
• Support safe store environment and report safety incidents; ensure records are kept.
• Understand and execute all company policies; participate in Loss Prevention.
• Lead initiatives with store associates; ensure store looks clean and well-presented.
• Control labor through scheduling and timecard management; approve payroll.
• Handle escalated issues with Store Manager and HR; support company initiatives.
