Job summary

Goodwill Southwest Florida is seeking a Retail Assistant Manager to support the operation and performance of a high-volume retail store in Lehigh Acres, FL. You will assist the Store Manager in achieving sales, expense, and profit objectives while ensuring compliance with standards and policies.

You will lead through staff training and coaching, ensuring a safe, productive, and customer-focused environment. This role requires working evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• Two years of retail sales experience required.
• One year of management or supervisory experience required.
• Ability to learn and operate point-of-sale systems, donation systems, office computers, and telephones.
• Ability to supervise and train staff in production, merchandising, checkout, and customer service functions.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist in achieving store sales, expense, profit, customer transaction, and Ecommerce revenue goals while ensuring compliance with Ecommerce procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized store environment by enforcing safety procedures and conducting inspections.
• Support customer and donor relations by providing excellent service and educating the public about Goodwill programs.
• Assist with merchandise production and sales floor operations following established standards and pricing guidelines.
• Prepare accurate reports, complete required documentation, and monitor expenses.
