Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Consult with the Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering and scheduling.
• Assume responsibility of the entire store in the Store Manager's absence.
• Assist with personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure department standards are met.
• Keep the Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Maintain high quality customer service as per manuals and standards.
• Perform general administrative duties and support Store Manager's responsibilities.
• Deliver extraordinary customer service and assist multiple customers during peak periods.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise offered by Hibbett I City Gear.
• Uphold all company policies and procedures as listed in manuals and memos.
• Protect assets and financial information through internal controls and reporting fraud risks.
