Socket.dev in Taylor, MI is seeking a Retail Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations, drive sales, ensure merchandising standards, and lead a high-performing team to deliver operational excellence.

You will coach and develop associates, coordinate with peers and the Area Manager, and maintain product knowledge while enabling a positive, inclusive work environment. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of management or supervisory experience.
• Retail/customer service environment experience.
• Ability to train, coach, and motivate employees.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist in merchandising, operations, sales and customer service.
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by being knowledgeable on all products and collaborating with coworkers to provide sales service.
• Conduct opening and closing routines to start or complete the store's daily business.
• Partner with the Store Manager to establish and communicate critical metrics across sales, visuals, operations, safety, loss prevention, HR, payroll/scheduling, and training.
• Coach, teach, train, recognize and manage performance and development for all store associates to build bench strength.
• Act as a liaison between customers, sales associates and store leadership.
• Maintain product knowledge and awareness of current or upcoming products.
• Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.
