Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Madeira Beach, Florida is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development.

You will assist with daily store activities, support customers, merchandise flow, and open/close procedures while ensuring safety and adherence to company policies. This position involves supervising and developing store associates, maintaining a clean, well-stocked store, and protecting assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or similar environment preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain promotional displays and store fixtures
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, payroll and scheduling, and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure all company assets including cash
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures
• Assist Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff
• Ensure store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash and presentation
• Other duties as assigned
